The unbeaten run of the Argentinean team, which consisted of 36 matches, was interrupted. The record belongs to the reigning European champions – the players of the Italian national team. They have 37 unbeaten games to their credit.
Saudi Arabia became the first team from the Asian Football Confederation to score more than one goal against Argentina in World Cup history.
In the next match, the Argentina national team will play against the Mexican team, and the Saudi Arabian national team will meet with the Polish team. Both matches will be played on November 26th.
